Every year on the first Saturday in November, alumnae return to campus for a special day of connection and celebration
Founders’ Day remains one of Dio’s most cherished traditions – a time for students, alumnae, staff, and friends to come together and celebrate the spirit of our school. First held to honour Bishop Moore, Richard Neligan and Mary Etheldred Pulling, who founded Diocesan in 1903, the day continues to remind us of their vision to create a place where girls could thrive in learning, leadership, and community.
Programme & Venues
The 2026 programme:
All Alumnae are welcome to take part in Founders’ Day. However, each year we extend a special invite to our Decade on Reunion Groups.
Decade reunions for 2026 are PY: 2016, 2006, 1996, 1986 and 1976.
Election Day: Just a note that we are aware that this year Founders’ Day falls on the same day as Election Day in New Zealand. Due to limited availability in the school calendar we will be proceeding with the date as planned, and appreciate the flexibility that advance voting options now provide us.
